ConfigRadar

Configuration Change Tracking for Jira Cloud

See who changed what in your Jira configuration, when, and exactly how. Audit log history, daily snapshots of workflows, schemes, fields and screens, before/after diffs and watchlist alerts, with drift detection and Jira issue alerts in Advanced. Your data never leaves Atlassian.

30-day free trial. Standard is free for up to 10 users. Advanced is coming soon.

What you get

History

Every configuration change in one timeline

ConfigRadar imports the Jira audit log with a 30-day backfill on install, then hourly. Filter the timeline by object type, project, author and date range.

Snapshots & diffs

Before and after, not just “updated”

Daily snapshots of workflows, workflow schemes, custom fields and contexts, screens, permission schemes and project settings. Open any change to see a before/after diff of the object's content.

Alerts & drift Advanced

Know when critical config moves

Put objects on a watchlist and get alerts in the app. Advanced also raises alerts as Jira issues in a project you choose, detects drift from a saved baseline and sends a scheduled change digest.

Addresses the long-standing Jira Cloud gap tracked as JRACLOUD-46206 (1,023 votes). The Rovo agent (coming in Advanced) will require Rovo on your Jira site.

Stop guessing who broke the workflow

The Jira audit log tells you that something was updated. ConfigRadar shows you what the object looked like before and after, keeps the history, and tells you when the objects you care about change.

  • Audit log history: 30-day backfill on install, then hourly import
  • Daily snapshots of workflows, workflow schemes, custom fields and contexts, screens, permission schemes and project settings
  • Before/after diff for each changed object
  • Timeline with filters by type, project, author and date
  • Watchlist with in-app alerts, and CSV export for audits and change reviews
  • Advanced (coming soon): alerts as Jira issues, baseline and drift; PDF compliance evidence, a dashboard gadget, a Rovo agent and a scheduled change digest are coming in Advanced
  • Runs on Atlassian: zero egress and no manage:* scopes; the only write is creating alert issues in Advanced

Requirements and notes

  • Jira Cloud. Only users with the Administer Jira global permission can open ConfigRadar.
  • ConfigRadar requests granular read:* Forge scopes, read:audit-log:jira, report:personal-data, and Jira issue write scopes that only the Advanced edition uses, only to create alert issues in the project you choose. It never changes your Jira configuration. See Security for the full list.
  • Audit entries, snapshots, diffs and settings live in Forge hosted storage (Forge SQL and Key-Value Store), with the same data residency as your Jira site. IP addresses from the audit log are not stored. History is kept for 90 days in Standard and up to 3 years in Advanced.
  • Built on Forge. The app makes no calls outside Atlassian. See Security and Privacy.
